Nikita Atkins is NCS Australia’s AI Lead, overseeing how artificial intelligence (AI) technology is successfully adopted into right-fit solutions to support clients today and into the future. He is also responsible for identifying and deploying AI, innovation and automation opportunities to support the internal operations of NCS Australia.

Nikita brings over 25 years of experience across data science, information management, machine learning and enterprise architecture. His expertise covers neural networks and deep learning; predictive analytics, machine learning and data science; text analytics; prescriptive analytics; Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing; statistical inference, descriptive analytics and mathematical modelling; business analytics, business intelligence and more.

Nikita joined the team in 2021 as Executive Country Lead for the NCS NEXT Technology Centre of Excellence, advancing generative AI, digital trust, sustainability and the metaverse. He was also instrumental in establishing NCS’ 4,500 sq ft Innovation Centre, ‘Tesseract’ in Singapore, where clients participate in immersive workshops to identify opportunities in generative AI, metaverse, digital trust and sustainability.

Earlier in his career, Nikita developed his robust track record fostering innovation, sales and delivery across organisations such as IBM, Accenture and the Australian Government.

Nikita believes the future success of AI requires close collaboration between universities, government and the private sector. He has served as an Industry Board Member for the University of Technology Sydney’s Techcelerator, and for Data Science at the University of Wollongong. He considers computer vision and optimisation to be the next frontiers for innovation.
