Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Support - Application Specialist to join our team, responsible for ensuring the stability and reliability of production applications hosted in the Azure environment. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and investigating production issues based on SLAs, with strong knowledge of Azure Functions, Web APIs, and related technologies. A proactive mindset in issue investigation and resolution is crucial. This role involves shift-based work in a 24/7 production support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot production issues in applications hosted on Azure and provide timely resolution of incidents based on defined SLAs.
- Work collaboratively with development teams to address recurring issues and improve application stability.
- Document production issues, investigation steps, and resolutions to enhance knowledge sharing and process improvement.
- Actively participate in on-call rotations and shift schedules to ensure 24/7 production support.
- Analyze recurring incidents and provide suggestions for permanent fixes or enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
- Good knowledge in C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, LINQ and other related technologies.
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud Concepts, Azure Functions, Web APIs, and related middleware technologies.
- Troubleshooting skills for SQL Server / PostgreSQL databases.
- Familiarity with production release processes in Azure environments.
Support Skills:
- Ability to quickly analyze and resolve complex production issues.
- Understanding of ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Experience working in a shift-based, 24/7 production support environment.
- Excellent documentation skills for creating and maintaining knowledge base articles.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of accountability and ownership in resolving production issues.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
Preferred Certifications:
- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) certification is a plus.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification in IT Service Management is a plus.
Work Schedule:
- Shift-based rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays.
